All glory and honor to the King Eternal, Immortal, Invisible God, Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. It is through His grace and mercy that I have been elected Mothers’ Board President and I cherish this honor to serve. My desire is to serve God and you, the people of God, with diligence and sincerity of heart.
The 47th National Mothers' Assembly, convening March 2-3, 2012 in Lexington, KY, is rapidly approaching. This will be the first Mothers' Assembly without our General Mother, Elect Lady S.P. Rawlings, who is greatly missed.
As many of you know, the Mothers' Board has a responsibility to raise funds for the National Temple. We are asking each church to support the meeting with a $100 church report. Reports sent prior to the meeting should be mailed to House of God Lock Box, P.O. Box 8081, Carol Stream, IL 60122. Please put "Church Report" on the memo line of your check and/or money order.
Our theme this year will be coming from Isaiah 58:12 – "Raising the Foundation of Many Generations." This great gospel was first given and declared unto us in 1918. Since that time, several generations have come and gone. Now we have been given an awesome responsibility to teach our children and our children's children about this great salvation of Jesus Christ. This year, we are asking each generation to represent with a $25 donation. Throughout the sanctuary and other parts of the building, there will be artificial trees placed during this meeting. Each branch will represent a family or genealogy that has kept the Commandments of God. For instance, Apostle Best and I represent a generation, my children represent a generation, and then my grandchildren. There will be a branch labeled "These are the generations of the Best family" with our names along with a $75 donation ($25 for each generation). If your local church is interested in participating, please forward me the name and contact information for the person selected to serve as captain.
